ABOUT ME

"Describing myself as an artist has always been weird to me. There is not much to my story and it all can just be summed up as "I like art so I do it." My earliest memory of drawing occurs at the age of four while fighting my restlessness at church. To accommodate to my persistent energy, my mom gave me her notebook and told me to draw in it. I was immediately intrigued. My family recognized my talent and pushed me to embrace my love for art. My peers began to characterize me as the "art kid" at every school I attended. Teachers also saw my passion and informed my mom of a variety of art classes that would further develop and improve my skills. I was resistant to the idea of taking art classes first because I took pride in being able to make art without ever needing classes. Little did I know, those classes would fine tune my skills and make me a better artist than I was before. I grew a strong relationship with my instructor, a teacher at a the High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA). I ended up attending CAPA where I learned about the multitude of unique styles and approaches to making art. Following the short four years of high school, I decided to pursue my education and art at the collegiate level, attending Drexel University as a member of the Animation and Visual Effects program. Learning the skills that would then turn into a career in something I love seems almost dreamlike. Throughout all I have done with art I never lost my passion. To this day, I can find a way to fill my days with a multitude of art projects in all mediums. I am passionate about my work and hope it shows through with everything I create."
